Can I open files in other applications?

In some case, the librarian, or content owner, may give you as the reader permission to open the file in other applications on your tablet such as an iPad or an Android tablet. This may include the ability to email the file, print it, or open it in another application.

If this is the case, there are two ways to carry out this feature.

Option 1:

1. Open the document and select this share icon from the top document menu bar.  Then a share menu will appear.
2. Press ‘PDF’ if you wish to include your private annotations in the shared document, or ‘Original’ to share only the original document.
3. Press ‘YES’ if you wish to include your private annotations in the shared document, or ‘NO’ to share only the original document.
4. Now you can select your output option.

Option 2:

Press a document icon (‘long-press') until the ‘SHARE’ button appears.

1. Press ‘PDF’ if you wish to include your private annotations in the shared document, or ‘Original’ to share only the original document.
2. Press ‘YES’ if you wish to include your private annotations in the shared document, or ‘NO’ to share only the original document.
3. Now you can select your output option.

Note: Some of the files that you have been sent may be too large to email - if this is a problem, please contact your librarian for assistance.
